Asian Games schedule: sport dates are not fixture times
Use the official sport windows, then check a specific session or match before planning to watch.
A sport window contains many sessions
The official Asian Games 2026 overview lists cricket from September 17 to October 3 and football from September 14 to October 3. Those windows describe when a sport is on the programme. They do not promise an India match on every date or tell you the time of a final.
A sport can also have several disciplines. Basketball and 3x3 basketball have different date ranges; tennis and soft tennis are separate rows; cycling is split into road, track, BMX and mountain-bike events.
Read the calendar in Japan
ScoreZaap's sport schedule uses Japan local calendar dates from the official overview. For an individual start time, check whether the source gives Japan time, India time or another timezone before converting. An early-morning Japan session can fall on the previous calendar date somewhere else.
The linked overview states that its information was correct as of August 28, 2026 and could change. A date window is useful for finding the sport, but it is not a substitute for a current day's order of play or start list.
Follow the right section
Use Sports & schedule for the programme, Medals & results for checked event finishes, and Asian Games news for original reports. The medal-results page labels its coverage as selected events, not a complete live country tally.
Team-event medals count by event. A three-person archery team winning one final contributes one country gold, not three. The athletes' personal medal counts answer a different question.
