India men win compound archery gold to complete team sweep
Sahil Jadhav, Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru and Kushal Dalal beat China 238-237.
India added the men's compound team gold at the Asian Games on September 30, completing victories in all three compound team events that day. Olympics.com's official report records a 238-237 win over China.
Sahil Jadhav, Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru and Kushal Dalal formed the winning men's team. After trailing 60-58 at the opening end, India scored the maximum 180 from its remaining 18 arrows. China still led 179-178 before the final end, but India closed with six successive tens.
The men's final followed India's women's team gold and mixed team gold. Those are three separate event medals, not one medal multiplied by the number of archers. Individual compound titles were not part of this team-event sweep.
The mixed team result also secured a country quota for India at LA 2028. That qualification fact applies to the mixed event, not to every archer who won a team gold. The official report makes clear that eventual Olympic participation depends on national team selection.
